Home of the Microwave Moisture Measurement Expert

Hydronix sensors are installed in a batch or continuous process where there is a requirement to measure moisture in real-time. The sensors use a contact measurement technique which compared with other methods of moisture measurement is least affected by impurities, colour, particle size or temperature.

Our applications experience and expertise not only includes the harsh environments of a concrete mixer or aggregate bin but also other drying, wetting, monitoring or control processes where the material is free-flowing.

Grain Moisture Measurement

Many factors will affect the moisture level in the raw grain product; how it is stored, humidity in the atmosphere, the variety of the grain and also its particle size.

Aggregates

Aggregates Moisture Measurement

Moisture sensors can measure moisture levels in materials being discharged from bins, on conveyor belts or within vibratory feeders.

What Are Our Customers Saying?

"The installation of a moisture sensor in our parboiled rice production has enabled us to reduce the amount of wasted rice by 2.5% which equates to 4,000 kg per week or US $1,668. An annual saving of US $80,064 for 48 weeks." Hydronix customer
Even a very small variation such as a 2% error in the moisture of the aggregates can change the ratios of the water/cement and aggregate/cement. Assuming the cost of cement at $120 per tonne would mean an extra $9 per batch on average. Whilst this may seem inconsequential, over 75 batches a day, over 261 working days, adds up to $173,826 per year.
“Before installing moisture measurement we were experiencing a 5% loss due to broken or cracked rice. This has been reduced to 1.3% after installing 4 Hydronix moisture sensors into our process. This gives us an increased yield of 3.7% and the sensors have paid us back for the capital outlay very quickly”. MJ Grain Products PVT LTD of Siliguri, India
